Owned one of these a little over a year now. Overall I really like it. Would probably give it a 9/10 just because the blade insert is not good. It’s very thin plastic (1/4”-1/8” if I remember correctly) that flexes a lot and is a weird shape. Had to source some Corian off cuts from a local countertop place to replace it (wood couldn’t handle being that thin with temp changes and what not). Overall I’m very very happy with it. The build beyond the insert is solid and there’s a ton of adjustments to really get a good accurate cut. It’s definitely a bit loud but honestly it’s a good reminder to grab my PPE when I’m slacking lol.

Thank you for your work. Likely will try to buy one with self-leveling option and locator.

Yet another failure from DeWalt. You have to remember that DeWalt doesn't build this and they probably didn't design much of it either. These are made by MTD, the traditional bottom-dweller in yard equipment. This is not even close to the same level quality as what you'll find with a Toro or Ego. The only reason to buy it is if you already have or need the DeWalt batteries.

Really wish DeWalt would build a quality unit like Milwaukee and Makita did. But so long as they rely on MTD to make them that will never happen.

Dewalt already had every single feature on their job site saw. The one area that I’m sure SKIL beat them at is the price point and hopefully that isn’t because they may have used a smaller motor.

You can fix the height by cutting 4 pieces of pvc to the desired height and size

It’s a great tool for the shop or install work BUT the reverse switch is stupid. I only tolerate the forward reverse switch because it comes with 90 degree attachment. My go to is my M18 Fuel Impact Driver - I also don’t like the fact it does not stand up well. I don’t regret buying it - use it a lot.

It’s a good saw BUT for home repair / Maintenance the DeWalt 8” version is all you need. The 8” version is very portable and stores under a bench or on a shelf. The fence is amazing but the mitre gauge sucks!

DONT BUY! NO IMPACT DRIVER SETTING!!!! You'll use 2 of the 4 chucks 98 percent of the time for most tradesmen. Buy the driver drill set. With the 90 degree adapter for 20 bucks. Same thing for the less money. And you have 2 drills.

$580 is not a lot for a small chipper. I'm looking at a Woodland Mills for $3,000. Don't have it cause it costs so much but it will take up to 5 inches with all the branches on it. Someday. I'm going to check and see if Predator has a larger chipper/shredder. Have too much to be cutting small branches off big branches; The pile I need to do is 6' x 6' x 50 long. And they want $350 a day to rent the larger chipper. Can't afford to do that because I figure it will take me weeks to do it all.

neighbor across the street came over, "can I borrow ur can of starter spray, I know you have a can", I said " OK", and I lent it to her, 5 days later still not returned. So I called her, she said she does not have time to talk, I waited 3 more days, I texted her, told her , I need the "starter spray" for my lawn mower, she did not reply back, 3 days later she came over ", I got you this can of power spray" it was not the can I loaned her, mine I had it for over 3 years, so when she gives me the can she bought, I was not happy, then she says, "can I borrow your new weed eater" I told her, " No and have a nice day !!! Can this be used to shave door bottom to shorten the door height due to flooring?

I bought a skill table saw from😮 lowe's back around 2010. Never once gave it any thought about the accuracy of the cut. Here we are fourteen years later and I'm out in the barn trying to figure out how to get the blade to tilt and I honestly just don't remember. There's a lever right beside the wheel and it moves up and down. It doesn't seem to matter which position it's in, the blade only goes up or down. Somewhere around the house I have the manual but I guess I'm to lazy to look for it. In all the time I've had this unit I've only used the bevel function 2 or 3 times. I'm getting ready to go back out to the barn with a flashlight and get underneath and look. Lol, I may just take a friggin hammer and give the lever a whack. Update! I just gave it a little hammer treatment. I tapped on the bottom of the lever and it moved to the unlock position. For the life of me, I could not get the lever to move using my hands. Anyway it's all good now 😂

I bought the DCK kit for 75, 40+ percent discount.. I'd definitely buy it over the ryobi at that price

Very interesting. You just saved me $900 CDN. I looked askance at all those handles and things in HD and thought about how you could get around them. Very light and rattle prone as others commented. The back and forth motor disengagement problem would be huge in my situation and that's a lot about what this mower is for - small areas. The belt drive sealed the deal. Idiotic. No way, DW. Great video. I"m a retired Hollywood cinematographer.

Where do you get $500 dollar plywood? Furniture grade at my Menard's is only 80 a sheet.

My Dewalt Lawn Mower (Same one) keeps dying and wont suck up any cut grass into the bag. It has a 90 Day Satisfaction guarantee and sadly it is going back. My brothers Ryobi is much better.

I'm having trouble believing That you are so excited About such a pc of crap Accurate work with that is very doubtful. If this is the only saw you can afford, get yourself a wen track saw and save up enough money to get a real table saw. If you are doing anything other than rough work get a real saw.

I can't wait for Skil to come out with an actual track saw, a cordless router, and an installation driver. That would be so nice. Cheap but mighty tools. You're actually the reason I got into Skil's PWRCORE 20 line if you didn't know. Thanks for the reviews.

If you don't want to squeeze out an extra few hundred for the Dewalt 10" Jobsite, this is the saw for you. I've had this saw for a few years. Calibration is a breeze, cuts anything you want it to, and I got mine for $270. In this price range, there's absolutely no competition. If you're looking for a budget saw, stop thinking about it and buy it!

What I have found these batteries good for is to run my fish finder on my kayak with a converter. The basic tools do great for small jobs around the house.

How often does the average guy drill a hole in a 8x8 lol.

You convinced me to get this. I normally use hand tools to build guitars but sometimes you just need a table saw and how easy this was to adjust made me get this over more expensive competitors.

I think it is worth saying that the SKILL Table Saws have a nicer table shape to be used as drop in's into benches !! It is the deciding factor to me, I compare to DWE 7485

Hello Mike, thank you always for the practically detailed reviews. Not really relevant to this video, but I just want to ask for your favor. GTS15-10, the new Bosch rack & pinion fence job site saw, would you recommend it over the famous DWE7491RS? I have ordered and assembled the DeWalt, but a few points are bringing me down, i.e. no electric break & the rolling stand taking a bit muscle to fold/unfold.😅 I am asking you in a hurry since you mentioned it at the beginning of this video and my return window is closing up this week for DeWalt.

The way that thing grabs branches and sucks them into the chipper is a bit terrifying. I'd be leery of wearing gloves so it doesn't snag and suck my hand in with the branch. Thanks for the review. I may be purchasing a chipper in the near future.

Another good one, Mike. A couple of years ago, I bought a Predator 4375 w gas powered generator as a companion to my 6500 w Honda; darned if that reasonably priced generator doesn't perform as well as the over priced Honda. I will mention that the Predator is not constructed with as many quality parts (levers, wheels, e.g.) But, one cannot beat the one time pull start. So I guess, the Predator, is a good tool.

One thing I love about the ego is it is so sturdy. Is your lawn full of speed bumps?
